Financial Accountability
Dear Members and Contributors:
We want you to know that Grace Christian Church is operated as a Section 501 (c)(3) “church” as that term is used and understood by the Internal Revenue Service. The church is not operated for the private gain or benefit of any person or member, and the church has filed all required state and federal filings and reports required by applicable law.
Our church operates within the guidelines set forth in our church bylaws. All disbursements must go through the proper channels, which include two layers of management approval.
All charitable contributions, as defined by the Internal Revenue Service, are recorded as such, whether they are cash or non-cash donations. Appropriate statements or non-cash contribution letters are made available annually to be used by donors for charitable giving tax credit, if they so choose.
Our Board of Directors is made up of strong Christian leaders within the church who have a heart for this ministry. They meet approximately six times per year to establish policies, set budgets, oversee operations, and review ministry accomplishments. They hold us accountable to steward your donation dollars in the most effective and efficient manner.
In addition to the many ministries within the church that your contributions support the church annually gives 16 - 18% of its income to missionaries and ministries outside of Grace Christian Church.
We understand that your tithe is your hard earned money – seed given by God to re-invest in the kingdom. We do all we can to put ample controls in place to ensure that donor contributions are handled with the utmost care.
Thank you for your involvement and continued confidence as we lead, serve, and grow together in God’s Kingdom.
Sincerely,
Pastor Jerry Weinzierl and the Board of Directors
